Bertha Reese

Bertha Ruth Reese  was born to the late Jesse Lee, Sr. and Joe Ann Goodwin on April 11, 1954.  She received Christ at Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Glover.  She was educated in the Bessemer School System.

On November 4, 2019, Bertha made her transition from earthly life.  She is preceded in death by siblings, Jessie Mae Goodwin, Isom Goodwin, Geraldine Coleman, Margaret Ann Hendricks; nephew, Trevis Coleman, and long time friend, Patricia Phelps Ivory.

Bertha Ruth Reese leaves to cherish her memory:  a daughter, Charett Reese Daniels (Antoine Sr.); son, Corey Reese (Della Reese); grandchildren, Ron’Derius Rashard Reese, Antoine Daniels, Jr. (DazJah Daniels), Bre’Shuna Daniels, Cor’Derius Reese, Keynoah Bonner, TyCoria Johnson, Jeremy Copeland and Cori CiCi Reese; siblings, Jessie Goodwin (Charise), James Goodwin (Sandra), Beverly Allen (Fred), Michael Goodwin (Linda), Jerry Wayne Coleman, Sr. (Marlene) of Springfield, Illinois; special friend, Phillip Crettenden; long time friend, Randy Phelps; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  My friend as I knew her, Yvonne Williams.
