Clara Bell Lowery Peters was born to the union of Eugene Lowery and Mary Francies Pearl Lowery on May 26, 1929, in Selma, Alabama.
She attended school and was baptized at an early age in Selma and joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Fairfield, Alabama in 1947, under the leadership of Reverend Edwards.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, O’Reatha Lowery and parents and brothers, Willie Lee Lowery Sr. and Eddie James Lowery, and former husbands, William Fullard and Reverend Louis C. Peters.
She leaves to cherish: sons, Levell Lowery Sr. (Paula) of Cincinnati, Ohio; Gary W. Lowery (Gwen) of Bakersfield, California; William Lowery of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters, Glenda S. Lowery-Cook of Birmingham, Alabama and Rona Fullard of Fairfield, Alabama and stepdaughter, Barbara Jean Fullard of Cincinnati, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren and numerous great-grand and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Lecester Lowery Sr. of Detroit, Michigan and first cousin, Jessie Davis of Fairfield, Alabama and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and family friends.
