Henry Mitchell Hamby, Jr

Mr. Henry Mitchell Hamby, Jr. was born on December 3, 1945 to proud parents, the late Henry Mitchell, Sr. and Irene Hamby in Birmingham, Alabama. He joined the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church at an early age, where Reverend A. C. Poole was the Pastor. Mr. Hamby was preceded in death by his sons, Charles and Christopher Hamby.

He attended Cameron Lane Elementary School and Ullman High School. He was employed at Bowman Transportation, Inc. for many years and retired from Hornady Truck Line in June of 2012.  

Mr. Henry Mitchell Hamby, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Queen A. Hamby; a son, Henry Mitchell Hamby, III (Monica); daughters, Michelle Hanson (John) and Vanessa King (Stanley); a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Hamby, all of Birmingham, Alabama; a sister, Dorothy McQueen Walker of Columbus, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Pauletta Jarvis (Johnnie) and Mildred Sellers; a brother-in-law, James Thomas (Brenda); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
