Larry Darnell Broddy was born in Plainfield, New Jersey to the late Lawrence Broddy and Lorene Broddy on May 11, 1972.
He confessed Christ at an early age. He was a graduate of P.D. Jackson-Olin High School in 1991. He joined the United States Navy that same year. He served his country for four years. He later obtained his CDL license and drove trucks professionally for a variety of companies until his passing on September 19, 2019.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Lorene Broddy; his wife, Chandra Tannehill-Broddy; two sons, Larry ‘Pudge’ and Patrick ‘Pat’; two daughters, Adrianna ‘Belle’ and JaNasia ‘Nasia’; two bonus daughters, Deonna ‘Nah-Na’ (Chris) Thompson and Ginger ‘Boo-Bear’; two bonus granddaughters, MaKenzie and Madison; one brother, Bernard Broddy; three uncles, Peter Brooks, Walter Thomas and William Thomas, all of Birmingham, AL; two aunts, Annie Lee Jacobs of Clio, SC and Louise (Johnny) Lilly of Brierfield, AL; one brother-in-law, Jermaine (Sheridan) Dunn, and a host of cousins and friends.
