Leroy McCullough was born on December 28, 1946 in Brighton, Al to Jimmie and Willie Mae McCullough. After accepting Christ at an early age, he joined Oak Grove Baptist Church in Brighton. Leroy retried from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and Food World Grocery.
On October 14, 2006, Leroy was joined in Holy Matrimony to Martina Willis. He was a devoted husband and father. His life was full, rich, and happy. His love of people led him to help others in any way he could. His loyalty to his family and kindness to his friends shall be a living memorial to his life.
Leroy was preceded in death by two of his brothers and one sister: James McCullough, Ronald McCullough, and Bessie Creagh.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved son, Michael McCullough of Gary, IN and three daughters, Tamara Hunter of Fairfield, AL, Tishana R. Thompson (Labrisco) of Nashville, TN, and Marlesa R. Willis of Birmingham, AL. He also leaves behind his beloved brother and sister, Carlton McCullough and Carol Harris, eight grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
