Maggie Lee Young also known as Pat was born July 10, 1942 to the late Anderson and Mattie Young in Leflore County Mississippi.
Maggie was the youngest of seven siblings which all preceded her in death. Georgia Jackson, Mary Anderson, Catherine Reed, Belton Young, Robert Davis, Fred Young, and Clyde Walls. At an early age she accepted Christ as a member of Lockalonia Missionary Baptist church of Money, MS. She also attended Money high school and would play center for her school girls basketball team.
At the age of 11 she met Clarence McGee and would later marry him in November of 1962. Thru this union they went on to have three kids Curtis McGee (Delia), Clarence McGee Jr. (Tonya), and Corey McGee.
She would later move to Birmingham in 1965 with Clarence to raise their three children. And during that time In 1965 she would join the New Rising Star Missionary Baptist church of Brown Springs as a faithful member for years come. Her life was spent being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, coworker, and servant of the lord. She also served as an employee of the Birmingham city schools for over 15 years which she retired from.
April 30, 2019 Maggie was called home to rest forever in the love of god. Maggie leaves precious memories behind with her loving husband Clarence. Sons Curtis, Clarence Jr., Corey, and bonus son Chris Morgan (Stephanie). Grandchildren Takeyia James, Marcus Streater, Alicia Hunt, Antonio Streater, Kendrick Gibbs, Tynesha McGee, Curtis McGee Jr., Clyde Jones, Ivory Johnson, Jaden McGee, Jade McGee, Corey McGee Jr., and Gabriel McGee. Great grandchildren Lequontae Hunt, Tyler James, Braylen James, Calvin Antwine III, Emarion Little, E’Lyiah Little, Patrick Thomas Jr. Tameria Thomas, and Taliyah Thomas. And a of host nieces, nephews, and friends.
