Romeo Thigpen

Romeo Darrell Thigpen a native of Campbell, Alabama and a resident of Midfield, Alabama was born June 17, 1966 to the union of George & Helen Todd Thigpen. He was preceded in death by his parents & two sisters Carol & Carolyn.

Romeo Darrell Thigpen made his transition Wednesday April 17, 2019 at UAB West in Bessemer, Alabama.

On October 29, 1988, Romeo & Angela  were united in holy matrimony. To this union they had two children: Shannon & Darrell. Romeo graduated from Coffeeville High School in 1985.  He retired from UAB after 28+ years.  Romeo also served in the Army Reserve and was employed with AMSA until he departed this life.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  wife Angela Thigpen, two daughters Shannon Thigpen & Maria Hueramo, one son Darrell (Meka) Thigpen, granddaughters; Leila, Mya, & London; God-Child Romeo P. Thigpen;  one sister Emma (Joey), six brothers George (Beatrice), Clarence (Mary), Hurtis (Minnie), Bobby (Linda), Jimmy (Eliane) and John; Mother in-law Maurine W. Goodson; father-in-law Johnnie Morrow; sisters-in-law; Brenda Reed & Pamela (Allen) Goodwin; brothers-in-law Mike (Glenda) Morrow & Carl (Evelyn) Morrow, two brotherly friends Alex and Perry, God-sister Kim (Harry) Gantt  & a host of nieces, nephews, & other family & friends who will all miss him dearly.
