Shellie Richardson Obituary

A Wonderful Blessing:

Shellie Richardson, a blessed and special angel was born to Henry and Jessie Richardson on September 12, 1971 in Cincinnati, Ohio; weighing in at one-pound, twelve-ounces. Fighting all the way until she departed this life to be present with the Lord on August 1, 2019. Looking back, we realize that she was truly a blessing; not because of her weight but because she was only supposed to be with us for only one night, and God loaned her to us for 47 years and for that we are truly grateful.

A Walk of Faith:

A God-loving and God-Fearing woman who is truly beautiful from the inside out would be the best words to describe this angel; Shellie was truly her best-self after excepting Christ as her Lord and Savior.  Beginning in journey to walk by faith at New Prospect Baptist Church, attending bible study at New Hope Baptist Church in South Avondale; and serving as a volunteer for the Church of the Highlands; she became more giving an nurturing; thus adding additional qualities to the beautiful soul that she already had.

A Passionate Woman:

Shellie had a passion for helping others. She believed making someone smile could change the world, maybe not the whole world, but their perspective of the world. When she wasn't helping others, she found herself deeply engaged in books or making memories with her children.

A Host of Colleagues

Shellie especially made her mark on the world at her workplace Rx Benefits, serving as a member of the Implementation Pharmacy of Operations team. While there she would forge meaningful and impactful relationships among her co-workers. Considering the praises of her co-workers, it seems that Shellie's spirit had made an everlasting impact on those she's met.

A Final Calling:

Every life is noted and is cherished, and nothing loved is ever lost or perished; God decided on August 1, 2019, that Shellie should continue her walk beside him, transitioning from Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama to a life of luxury.  Shellie will be lovingly remembered by her two prestigious daughters, Carlaneisha LaJessica and Destiny KaJuan Richardson of Alabaster, AL, her loving parents, Jessie and Rickey Kinnaird of Montevallo, AL and Henry Richardson of Cincinnati, OH. As well as two influential sisters, Carla Turner of Atlanta, GA and Dedra Kinnaird, of Ratcliff, KY and three marvelous brothers, Rick Jr., married to Stephanie Kinnaird of Madison, AL, Tyson Kinnaird of Ratcliff, Ky, and Keith Michael of Cincinnati, OH.  Shellie is also leaving behind her grandmother, awesome aunts/uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and an exuberant number of friends.
