Ms. Tunisha Jamilla McDuffie was born on June 3rd, 1993 to Mrs. Torinique A. McDuffie-Lee and Mr. Roderick D. Bloxom.
Tunisha was born and raised in Pratt City, Alabama. She was educated in the Birmingham School System, attending Council Elementary School and Glenn Middle School, and then continuing on to become a graduate of P. D. Jackson-Olin High School in 2011. She also received her Medical Assistant diploma from Brown Mackie College.
Accepting Christ at an early age, she was baptized at Greater New Antioch Church by Pastor E. O. Jackson. She then moved her membership to St. John C.M.E. Church under the pastorate of Reverend Johnson. Her final home was Word of Life / The Tower Christian Church under the pastorate of Pastor Stephon Washington.
Tunisha was truly a beautiful person with a loving heart and a beautiful smile. She was a Sam’s Club Café Member until God called her home. She answered the call to her Heavenly Father early Thursday morning on August 16th, 2018.
Tunisha is preceded in death by her great grandfather, John H. McDuffie (Ella); great uncle, Harold F. D. McDuffie (Vivian); grandmother, Alfreda Bloxom; and grandfather, Lynnwood Henry.
She leaves to honor her memory: mother, Torinique A. McDuffie-Lee (Nathan); father, Roderick D. Bloxom (Lyntrel); sisters, Jamika, Makiya, Mariya, Jazzlyn; brothers, Antoine and Wesley; grandmothers, Olitha R. Sherrod and Trice Tyrus; uncle, Jon-Elerick Sherrod (Latora); aunt, Janet Brown (Michael); nieces Ky’Leiah, Antoinette, and Avery; nephews, Antoine Jr. and Elijah; best friend, Keyera, Sha’terria, Jessica; three Godchildren; a host of cousins, and other family members and friends.
