Lois Hancock, or Vera Hancock, depending on what time in her life you met her, was a lifelong resident of Alabama. She spent most of her life in the Birmingham area, but has lived in Baldwin County for the last five years.
Mrs. Hancock was a people person and loved talking with people (sometimes whether she knew them or not). She was also a very generous person, helping anywhere she saw a need. At one time she worked in the nursing field at a convalescence home. She loved shopping and traveling.
Family members have even stated her middle name should be “Go”. Mrs. Hancock is survived by her daughter, Patricia “Pat” Pawson (son-inlaw Robert Joseph Pawson); granddaughters, Kimberly Wolfe and Heather Dubuisson, and two great grandchildren, Abby Hancock and Wesley Wolfe.
