Sister Bernice Embry Palmore was born to the late Gertrude and Ed Mitchell on September 24, 1921 in Pensacola, Florida. she confessed Christ at an early age and joined St. Stephenson Baptist Church.
She united in holy matrimony to Huston Embry and they were blessed with eight children. Bernice later married Daley Palmore.
Mrs. Palmore was a very strong, caring and loving person who always had something special for everyone. She enjoyed life. she was full of joy, jokes, laughter and kind words. She was a very happy and fulfilled person.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daley Palmore; daughter, Patricia Embry; father and mother, Ed and Gertrude Mitchell; brothers, Frank, Al Lee and Edward Mitchell, Jr.; and sisters, Thelma Brown and Helen Pruitt.
Sister Bernice Embry Palmore leaves a legacy of love, kindness and treasured memories to her loving children, Lizzie Embry, Hosea Embry, Thelma Embry, Gertrude Embry, Ed Franklin, Leon H. Embry (Debra), Ellis Embry, all of Birmingham, Alabama; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grands, a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
