Miss. Betty Jean Morrow was born to Ola Mae Dukes and Robert Morrow in Tuscaloosa County. Earlier in her youth she spent in Brent, Alabama and Tuscaloosa County. She attended Tuscaloosa County Schools. During her spare time she enjoyed fishing, taking care of her grandchildren, cooking, sewing, reading her Bible and listening to gospel music. She was also the “Puzzle Book Queen.”
She joined True Vine Evangelical Outreach Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Ralph and Kathleen Garth in May 2004, which she dedicated her life every Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Betty is preceded in death by her sons, Willie and Adam Morrow; common law husband, Mr. Willie Johnson; siblings, Tommy Jean, Jessie James, Robert Morrow, Frances Ford, Corrine McKenzie, Sarah Jenkins, Mary Jr. Hicks, Josie Faye Franklin and Bertha Morrow .
Betty leaves to cherish her memory: a daughter, Rose Morrow; a son, Darryl Morrow, both of Birmingham, Alabama; sister, Mary B. Rolley of Birmingham, Alabama; 17 grandchildren, Taronda Lacey (Jemale), Elleatra Morrow (Dedrick), Cordell, Nekia, Elvin, Keion, Amena, Nikko, Brianna, Asha, Ashanti, Kah’morrah, Kayden, Kash, Darryl Jr., Bella and Josiah; 2 great grandchildren, Mason N. McClure and Dedrick Odell Evans, Jr. (OTW).
