Darrell Fletcher began his earthly walk on March 27, 1968 to Clifford Henderson and late Mary Louise Harris in Birmingham Alabama. He was reared in a home that proclaimed Jesus Christ as his Friend, his Redeemer and his Savior.
Darrell was educated in the Birmingham Public School System , and a graduate of A H Parker High School class of 1986. He furthered his education at Birmingham Southern College. He was employed with Birmingham Southern Railroad for more than fifteen years.
Darrell was united in holy matrimony to the former Kischia Wright on January 20, 2001. And to this union were four sons. He united with Grace Covenant Church under the Pastorate of Michael Frazier.
Darrell was avid lover of all music. Whenever you saw him there was some type of music that could be heard. He was a friend to all and a brother to many. His unique character was “Fletch” and “Hit ‘em”, and he was fondly called them both.
Darrell’s eternal walk began on August 29, 2019. He leaves loving and cherished memories to wife; Kischia Fletcher, four sons; Darrell Fletcher Jr. Jvah Fletcher, John Marshall Fletcher, Marquis Berry, father; Clifford Henderson Sr. (Naomi), sisters; Oletha Norfleet (Cedric), Ursula Henderson, brothers; Christopher (Margaret) Harris, Clifford Henderson Jr. (Angela), sister-in-law; Cheryl Brown, and brother-in-law; Philandis Brown, two loving grandsons; Darrell Fletcher III and Carter Baldwin, two beautiful goddaughters; Symone’ Pratt and Jeriel Harris, and a trio of lifelong friends, Andra Walls, Ernest Murry, and Roger Walker. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
