Edward Lamar Davis

Mr. Edward Lamar Davis “Lil Man” was born July 8, 1991 to Cathy Dortch and Rodger Davis.  Lamar spiritual journey began at a young age.  He was baptized at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Fairfield under the leadership of Reverend O. C. Oden.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Taurus Dortch; aunt, Patricia Davis; grandmother, Alvia Dortch; grandfather, J. C. Dortch.

Lamar was a loving and caring father who will be missed by Peyton, Parker and Carson.

Lamar was educated in the Fairfield City School System.  He was a 2009 graduate of Fairfield Preparatory High School.

He leaves to cherish his memories: children, Peyton Davis, Parker Davis and Carson Davis; mother, Cathy Dortch; father, Rodger Davis; grandmothers, Mattie Davis and Arlene Henderson; siblings, Octavia Dortch, LaTevia Dortch and Jerome Dortch; aunts, Louise (Hosea) Evans, Debra Davis, Mattie Prichard, Charlene Davis, Dora Blanche, Alfreda Murphy and Nell Dortch of Birmingham, AL, Robin Henderson, Sandra Green and Edwina Langston of Detroit, MI; uncles, Ronald Dortch and Donald Dortch of Birmingham, AL, Michael, Edward and Harley Henderson of Detroit, MI and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
