Jonathan William Saxton, affectionately known as Jon, passed away on February 19, 2024, in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. He was the cherished son of Elizabeth Saxton and the loving brother of Francesca Sanders. He was born on November 11, 1983, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Jonathan was introduced to the love of God by his beloved grandmother, Rosa Lee Saxton. He then dedicated his life to Christ at an early age. He spent most of his life spreading the Word of and drawing others to Christ. He was a graduate of Wenonah High School and went on to pursue his passion for culinary arts at Lawson State Community College.
Jonathan is best known for being a “class clown” and jokester. He was also a lover of music and he loved to sing. He had a particular interest in all things tech and was an avid consumer of documentaries. He cherished his role as an uncle to Jeremiah, Justin, Ava, and Jordyn.
He is preceded in death by his aunts, Janella and Rosemary Saxton. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth; his sister Francesca; his uncle, Michael; and his cousins Michelle, Jennifer, Brittney, Joslyn, Joshua; and a host of other extended family and friends.
