Obituary
Lee Andrew Grayson, Jr., affectionately known as “Maine”, was born to the late Lee Andrew Grayson, Sr. and Annie Lee Grayson in Birmingham, AL on August 26, 1951. The Lord called him to rest, and he departed this earthly life, on January 17, 2021 at the age of 69.
He was educated in the Birmingham school system, and graduated from Lewis Elementary School; Lee was a 1969 graduate of G.W. Carver High School. he then enlisted in the United Stated Navy and served his country with honor from May 25, 1971 until February 25, 1975. he was the recipient of many special honors and awards including the National Defense Service Medal, the 1974 CNO Safety Award, the Commander Tactical Wings Award, and the Atlantic Safety Commendation. Upon completion of his tour of duty in the United States Navy, he was honorably discharged from service. Lee was a diligent and faithful employee for several companies until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Andrew Grayson, Sr. and Annie Lee Grayson, his brother Eric Grayson, and sister-in-law Veronica Grayson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Leandrea (Rance) Maddox; granddaughters Kaylen and Khloe Frazier, and grandson Rance Maddox III. his devoted sisters, Mildred Freeman (Arthur), Jo Ann Grayson; brothers James (Annette) and Arlester Grayson, and a host of relatives and friends.
