Marva Sims

Marva Louis Sims was born on October 2, 1945 to the late Rocellious Roy Sr. & Joanna Roy in Birmingham, AL. Marva confessed her faith in Christ at an early age. She was a member at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Irondale. She later moved her membership to Metropolitan Community Church. She was educated in the Birmingham School System. She was also employed with the Birmingham School System & St. Martin in the Pines.

Marva transitioned from this life on July, 3, 2021 and is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Mason; parents Rocellious Roy Sr. & Joanna Roy; sisters Vera Brown and Shirley Haywood.

Marva leaves to cherish her memories; One son Arnold King; three sisters: Voncile (Ralph) Curtis, Dorothy (Robert Sr.) Craig & Jacqueline (Carl) Jones, Twelve nieces: Minister Eloise Crenshaw, Serita Cook, Patti McKinney, Vera Quinney, Gerlanda Coach, Donna Mays, Dorothea Roy, Patrice Brown, Adrienne Craig, Tracey Acey, Ilsa Curtis, Carla Perdue & Voncile Craig; Nine nephews: Frank King, Mark King, Bobby King, Robert Craig Jr.,  Ralph Curtis Jr., Marlon Curtis & Eric Curtis; One aunt: Julia (Clarence) Dean of Pittsburg, PA and a host of other relatives and friends.
