Mose Sellers made a grand entrance into this world on October 15, 1944, to the late Hattie Anthony Sellers and Jessie Sellers in Montgomery, Alabama. Mose joined the Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church at an early age under the pastorage of Rev. McCain.

During Hurricane Andrew in 1992, Florida suffered tremendous damage and power outages. Mose worked in Miami for several months to restore service in that area. In 2008, Mose also assisted with the restoration in Galveston, Texas, following the devastation caused by Hurricane Ike.

Mose was an avid baseball player. For many years, he played baseball as a third baseman with the Hunter Station Mets. A diehard Carver Wolverine basketball and football fan, Mose attended all basketball and football games in and out of the city.
