Reginald Anthony Jackson Sr. departed this life on February 4,2020. He was born to Ruby Nell Jackson and Joseph Jackson in Birmingham, AL on August 02, 1954, and was raised by his grandparents Add Douglas and Daisy Jackson of Ensley/Pratt City.
Reginald attended Western Olin High School, where his love of music drew him to the choir until his graduation in 1972. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of Sergeant. He received the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with a one oak leaf cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and the Air Force Presidential Unit Citation.
Reginald was a jack of all trades; he loved his family and friends. His main love was singing, and he would sing on any occasion at the drop of a dime. He was also known for his skills in the kitchen. He enjoyed football, specifically the University of Alabama and the Dallas Cowboys. Reginald was also a member of St. James Baptist Christian Center under the direction of Dr. A.B. Jackson, Pastor who was a lifelong friend.
Reginald is survived by his twin children, Reginald Jackson Jr. and Renee Jackson; grandchildren, Myla, Mariah, Xavier, Xaiden, Jeremiah Jackson, Raven Miller, and Keymarion R. Underwood; his brothers and sister Tony, Eric and Wendy Clark; his aunts and uncles that were like his siblings. Alfred Jackson, Annie Pringle, Brenda (Joseph) Davis, Thelma (Walmon) Williams, Barbara Jackson, and Oleta (Phillip) Harden.
Numerous nieces and nephew will also miss him dearly.
Reginald was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and uncles Lorenzo Jackson and Jimmy Jackson.
