Tyrone Woodruff, Sr. Obituary

~ Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 ~

A Time to Be Born

Tyrone Ronald Woodruff, Sr. was born on January 4, 1944, Alabama.  He was the eleventh child of fourteen children.

A Time to Serve

Tyrone made a commitment to Christ at an early age and was baptized at his hometown church, Willow Spring Baptist Church, Republic, Alabama. He nurtured that commitment throughout his life. He loved God and stressed the importance of always doing the right thing. He was a long-time member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of North Pratt, AL.

A Time to Plant

Preparation for his life began in the Birmingham City School System, Birmingham, Alabama. He was a local resident of Jefferson County, AL.

Tyrone enjoyed meeting and sharing life stories with everyone he met. He was known for his ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers. You know that he cared for you especially when he would call you a hundred times in one day. He possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout his life he maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many. Tyrone enjoyed cooking, helping others, gaming and being a fashion icon. His signature gift of love and joy, shown through his constant giving, smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten.

A Time for Family

The sparkle of Tyrone’s eyes was his two children, “Tesha” & “Boo (Bruh Rabbit).”  This was evident in the way he would light up whenever he had the opportunity to share stories about them. An additional sparkle to his eyes came when he spoke of the love he had for his grandchildren; “Zan”, “Poke,” “Gabe” & Samuel. He was in his happy place when he was surrounded by them, taking in all the attention while spoiling them. His love didn’t stop there. Tyrone loved his entire family and took great pride in doing so.
